What a beautiful warm weekend!  While elsewhere in the country there were thunderstorms, the weather in Sheffield and North East Derbyshire was lovely.  The day started at Rowena’s home as she made her final preparations.

Meanwhile the boys were near the church at The Crispin pub in Great Longstone near Bakewell in Derbyshire.

A quick pint and they were on their way to St Giles Church.

Rowena arrived in style.

Stuart was obviously very pleased to see Rowena!

Rowena’s friend gave a lovely reading during the church ceremony.

After some meeting and greeting the wedding party moved onto the nearby Hassop Hall Hotel.

Perfect weather for enjoying the gardens.

Stuart and Rowena have a quiet moment alone.

The tables were arranged beautifully with little menus as name cards at each place setting.

Receiving lines are good places for great expressions.

Dinner!

Hmmm, shall I wait for Rowena to come back or should I start now…

The best man gave an entertaining speech.

Well, for everyone but Stuart.

The ballroom at Hassop Hall is a stunning place for a first dance.

Rowena tossed her bouquet to all the unmarried girls…

I was pleased to catch this moment of the two dad’s shaking hands on the balcony of the ballroom.

This weekend saw the wedding of Fiona and Simon in the village of West Horsley near Guildford in Surrey.

Fiona makes her first appearance as a bride in the kitchen.

Granny looks on at Fiona and her Bridesmaid enjoy the sunshine in the garden.

The Rolls Royce arrives and the driver is dressed in the clothing that a chauffeur would have worn when the car was brand new in 1935!

The wedding guests begin to arrive at St Mary’s church in West Horsley, Surrey.

Simon, the groom, greets his guests at the church door.

Fiona and her Dad aren’t far away, the bridal car is nearly at the church.

Here is the moment just after the first kiss. Always a really lovely moment between a bride and a groom and Fiona and Simon are no exception!

Fiona and Simon had their wedding reception at Effingham Golf Club in Surrey.

Fiona and Simon took a quiet moment alone and then we took some portraits of the two of them.

Simon shares a joke with his mum as a jazz trio provide the entertainment during drinks and canapés.

Speeches were after the wedding breakfast.

Fiona and Simon had a lovely first dance together…

…and then the movers and shakers got going!

Maya and Paul married at at Davenport Green Hall in Hale Barns, Cheshire.

Maya arrived in style in a Rolls Royce Phantom.

Meanwhile Paul was inside waiting with his best man and brother, Paraic.

Paul’s nephew was finding it all a little too much and was taking a nap on his mum’s knee.

Maya’s mum watched on as they exchanged vows and rings.

After the ceremony it was time for confetti…

… and plenty of it!

The path from the ceremony room to the reception marquee was really pretty.

Maya’s sister gets a hug from Paul’s dad.

Maya and Paul cut their cake surrounded on all sides by their family and friends.

Paul entertains during his speech.

Maya and Paul had a very touching first dance.

Then the party got underway!

Jane and Lee married at at Hassop Hall Hotel near Bakewell in Derbyshire.

Jane played the part of elegant bride perfectly!

Meanwhile, Lee was being prepared too.

Another gorgeous day at Hassop Hall as Lee and his best man walk over to the ballroom ready for the civil wedding ceremony.

Jane and Lee’s flower girl was adorable!

Jane puts her veil on and is all ready to go…

… but not before mum has a word

Lee was nicely relaxed as he waited with his best man.

The ballroom at Hassop is impressive to say the least.

This is the moment just after the first kiss.

Once the formalities of register signing are out of the way Jane and Lee were showered with petals as they left the ballroom.  This is Stephen’s view…

Jane’s bouquet had roses that matched the bridesmaids dresses.

The guests enjoy the gardens at Hassop Hall while we take a short walk with Lee and Jane for a few wedding portraits.

Stephen took a photograph of everybody from a window inside the hall while I was on the ground to take this shot of Lee and Jane.

The best man did an excellent job of his speech - several brilliant jokes at Lee’s expense!

This weekend saw the wedding of Anna and Peter at Hassop Hall Hotel near Bakewell in Derbyshire.

Their wedding photography began with Anna’s preparations.  Here is Anna watching one of her Bridesmaids, Penny, getting her make up done.

Dad popped by to see how things were going.

Then it was Anna’s turn for make up.

It wasn’t long before it was time for the ceremony to begin.
