We were interviewed a while ago by the Indian Wedding website “Wedding Sutra” in the USA and the feature has just gone live this week! We supplied lots of photographs and they’ve selected just a few from a sikh wedding and from three hindu weddings along with one album spread from a civil wedding. Check out the photographs and our interview about our approach to wedding photography and Indian weddings.
The only downside is that we had to supply a photograph of ourselves – now you can see why we take the photographs rather than be photographed!
We finally remembered to take a couple of shots of our new meeting room! We are a home based business and in our previous home we worked out of our dining room and a tiny study. As our work grew the house seemed to get smaller and smaller and so we finally made the move to a much bigger place earlier this year. Our new home has dedicated meeting space and office space. We also have space to rig up studio lights if we need to!
So if you make an appointment to come and see us this is the room where we will talk about your wedding, our photography and take a look at our albums!
It’s been over a month since we moved and we’re nearly there with our unpacking and sorting. We’ve moved to get more space for the business. We’ve now got a much bigger office and a separate room for consultations and occasional studio use. We’re finally getting the last delivery of furniture for our consultation room next week. Once it’s all set up we’ll proudly be showing it off!
Our previous office was very pokey and only really fitted one person, so Stephen and I had our computers in separate rooms. Our new office is really spacious with his ‘n’ hers desk side by side (ahhh!). There’s also enough room for us to put in a small sofa and as it’s just our old sofa we let our dog sit on it. The sofas in the consultation room are strictly out of bounds!
So here is our new office feature!
We’ll be showing more of the office and consultation room once they are tidy!
I’ve just spent two days at Warren House in London attending an intensive workshop with Huy Nguyen from Texas and Linda Wallace from North Carolina. Both Huy and Linda are extremely talented wedding photographers and came to share their view of photographing weddings. With a bunch of about 20 other UK wedding photographers it was a great opportunity to share, discuss and take a fresh look at our photography.
We’re now revitalised and fired up; full of new ideas and looking at how we progress onwards into 2008!
Here are the crew (thanks to Richard Harris for the photograph), I’m 6th from the left trying to hide – it was a traumatic moment for most of us as photographers generally hate having their photograph taken!
We took our dog a walk at Whirlowbrook in Sheffield today.  The gardens at Whirlowbrook are open to the public and there are some woodlands with lovely streams and paths that surround the house.  I always carry my little point and shoot camera with me so I got this quick shot of Stephen and our dog sitting on the lawn in front of Whirlowbrook Hall. We’ve got quite a few upcoming weddings at Whirlowbrook, including Sarah and Charlie’s wedding on Friday! The house and gardens are looking great guys; looking forward to Friday!
