It’s been over a month since we moved and we’re nearly there with our unpacking and sorting. We’ve moved to get more space for the business. We’ve now got a much bigger office and a separate room for consultations and occasional studio use. We’re finally getting the last delivery of furniture for our consultation room next week. Once it’s all set up we’ll proudly be showing it off!

Our previous office was very pokey and only really fitted one person, so Stephen and I had our computers in separate rooms. Our new office is really spacious with his ‘n’ hers desk side by side (ahhh!). There’s also enough room for us to put in a small sofa and as it’s just our old sofa we let our dog sit on it. The sofas in the consultation room are strictly out of bounds!

So here is our new office feature!

We took our dog a walk at Whirlowbrook in Sheffield today.  The gardens at Whirlowbrook are open to the public and there are some woodlands with lovely streams and paths that surround the house.  I always carry my little point and shoot camera with me so I got this quick shot of Stephen and our dog sitting on the lawn in front of Whirlowbrook Hall.  We’ve got quite a few upcoming weddings at Whirlowbrook, including Sarah and Charlie’s wedding on Friday! The house and gardens are looking great guys; looking forward to Friday!

We thought that we would introduce our menagerie! It’s over a year ago that we brought our weimaraner puppy home with us. She’s now 15 months old and considerably bigger than those early puppy days! She’s very cheeky; if the bedroom door is left open then she can often be found fast asleep on the bed…

We also have an 8 year old tabby cat. He is constantly harassed by the dog as she is fascinated by his every move. It’s the cat that is in charge though. He’s got that stupid dog all figured out.

They certainly keep us busy.

Looking forward to 2007!

The weekend just gone was our first weekend without a wedding since June! I would like to say that we enjoyed not having to get up as early on Saturday morning but that would be lying… we have a 7 month old weimaraner puppy who thinks that 6am is a perfectly suitable time to get up! With such a crazy July and August and we were still busy getting photographs and albums ready but we did get a chance to take our dog for a walk at her favourite place – the beach. She just loves to run and run!

It will be back to normal next weekend as we have two weddings to look forward to in Leicestershire and North Yorkshire!
