Pumpkins, hats, fascinators and the macarena

Yesterday we spent the day near Bradford in West Yorkshire. The stylish bride and groom, Kristi and Bradley, got ready together at Hollins Hall Hotel in Baildon, Shipley near Bradford and traveled together to the nearby Hoyle Court where they had a civil wedding ceremony.

There was an autumn theme to the wedding with pumpkins pointing the way into Hoyle Court.

Kristi, the bride, is a milliner and hats and fascinators were everywhere! I’m not sure who made this fabulous hat, but what a wonderful creation!

Kristi wore a deep purple gown with green sash and just look at the wonderful bouquet!

Kristi had made all the table centre pieces – mini hats and fascinators on glass heads, really unusual and stunning.

Dancing was a big part of the celebrations starting with a romantic first dance.

Then Bradley led a mean macarena!

Something a bit different!

Now we are well into autumn and getting into that wintery feeling, weddings are less frequent than in the summer months. We are wedding specialists, but sometimes it’s fun to do something a little bit different! We often get asked by previous wedding clients and friends to do photographs of their children and today we took some environmental portraits of a gorgeous young lady called Cleo!

We watched some of Cleo’s favourite DVDs which involved some dancing!

Then Cleo showed me her baby and pram before playing tickles with her dad.

What a sweet face she has, and I was envious of her gorgeous curly hair!

Today we spent a beautiful October day in Sheffield only a few miles from our Derbyshire base. Congratulations to Karen and Andreas who married with a civil ceremony at Whirlowbrook Hall. The weather was lovely, just right for an autumn wedding.

Karen got ready in the Oriental Room upstairs at Whirlowbrook. She looked so gorgeous!

At the point in the ceremony when the registrar asks if anyone knows any reason why the couple cannot lawfully wed, one of the youngest guests let out a loud wail! It certainly broke the tension of the moment!

The first kiss was very romantic!

Karen and Andreas had the most camera mad set of guests, and they posed with the register for quite some time.

Then it was outside for drinks and canapes…

…and enjoying being outside in the good weather.

Back inside again for dinner, Karen and Andreas took a moment together before being announced into the room.

Yesterday we photographed a lovely wedding in Kenilworth near Coventry in Warwickshire. The ceremony was at St. Nicholas Church in the centre of Kenilworth followed by a marquee reception back at the family home in Kenilworth. Congratulations to Amy and Andy!

Here is Amy just after she had put on her dress and laughing with her bridesmaids.

Amy and Andy’s nephew was a page boy and what a little star he was too!

St. Nicholas church at Kenilworth is a really old church and is really beautiful, set next to the Abbey Fields parklands and surrounded by trees.

When Amy arrived at the church is was raining slightly, but luckily it stopped raining shortly after!

One last one of Amy’s mum giving Andy a medal for being a fab son-in-law! Amy’s mum gave a brilliant speech which included a wonderful poem that she had penned herself all about Amy and Andy.
