Finally a July day that felt like July! It was a hot and sunny day in Sheffield as Karon and Jeff made their final preparations for their wedding day. Karon’s shoes were the inspiration for her wedding dress.

As Karon was getting ready…

…Jeff and the boys started the day with a spot of pitch and putt golf!

Jeff had left a gift for Karon to open when she got back from the hairdressers.

Then it was time for church.

A hug from dad before setting off for the short walk to church.

Karon’s uncle is a vicar and he conducted the ceremony which was a really special touch for them.

Karon has a sporty BMW, but Jeff’s not allowed to drive it…

Karon and Jeff’s dogs came to join them during the drinks reception.

While guests were being entertained by a magician.

We took Karon and Jeff away for a few minutes to get a few portraits.

The speeches were great, unless your name was Jeff!

The ceilidh band were excellent and got everyone up and dancing.

We had a day of weather yesterday!  One minute it was raining heavily and next it was bright sunshine!  The day started at Philippa’s parents home.

The ceremony was at Christ Church in Fulwood, Sheffield.  The entrance to the church is stunning with all the beautiful trees and flowers.

While inside it is bright and airy.

The church feels so spacious and it’s nice to be able to see the bride and groom sign the register so clearly.  While Stephen took this from the back…

The path is quite narrow so the guests have nowhere to hide!

Then it was time to be on their way to Bolsover Castle in Derbyshire.

I took this one as Stephen drove the car.  I was hanging out of the window to take this!

Despite threatening clouds, the weather was gorgeous at Bolsover Castle.  Perfect for champagne and canapés in the walled garden.

Back in 2004 we photographed the wedding of Katherine and Vincent in the charming village of Weobley in Herefordshire.  You can see a slideshow of their intimate wedding on our main website.  Today was a real treat for us as we had a visit not only from Katherine and Vincent, but their two daughters too!  Eden is nearly three and little Olivia is only 8 months.

We finally remembered to take a couple of shots of our new meeting room! We are a home based business and in our previous home we worked out of our dining room and a tiny study.  As our work grew the house seemed to get smaller and smaller and so we finally made the move to a much bigger place earlier this year.  Our new home has dedicated meeting space and office space.  We also have space to rig up studio lights if we need to!
