Caroline and Andy married at St Michael’s and All Angel’s Church in Hathersage with a wedding reception at Losehill House Hotel in Hope, Derbyshire.
The day began at Caroline’s family home in Grindleford, Derbyshire. Caroline had chosen some gorgeous Gina shoes.

Typical scenes of the morning of a wedding! Caroline’s sister, Alison, has her make-up done in the conservatory. In the dining room: a sewing kit, the bridal shoes and the bridal gown are waiting!

Caroline enjoys the preparations with her family and friends.

Caroline had the gorgeous “Sandra” Manuel Mota for Pronovias wedding gown with the most amazing detailing.

Penny was another of Caroline’s bridesmaids and she had met us before at Hannah and Lloyds wedding at Prestwold Hall in 2006! Thanks to Penny for telling Caroline and Andy about us!

Little Rosie was Caroline’s flower girl and she waited patiently while everyone else was getting ready.

Caroline gets a final touch up before putting the dress on.

Meanwhile the groom, Andy (the one with the tartan cravat), and the boys were having a last minute drink in the Scotsmans Pack pub near the church.

It rained on and off during the day, but fortunately the rain never lasted very long

The vicar conducted a lovely ceremony at St Michael’s.

Then it was outside into the sunshine!

Off to Losehill House!

This was our first visit to Losehill House Hotel in Hope, Derbyshire. The hotel is on the slopes of Lose Hill with views out to Win Hill and the Edale Valley.

An unexpected sight for the Edale Valley: a tipi marquee!

Inside the tables were laid out beautifully and looked very much the quintessential English Country Wedding. The tables were named after various countries that Caroline and Andy had visited on a world trip and the place cards were luggage tags tucked into the napkins.

The drinks reception was held in the Orangery.

The rain had stopped though, so we went outside for a few portraits and a photograph of everyone.

There were some great expressions during the receiving line.

Then Andy and Caroline were officially announced into dinner.

The Father-of-the-Bride, Rob, introduced the various groups of guests to each other during his speech. When he asked Andy’s school friends to shout out the best-man lept up – hurrah!

Rob then outlined Caroline’s many achievements, beginning with a very impressive award at Brownies!

He finished by awarding Caroline a new Sheffield Wednesday shirt with her new name on it!

Andy’s new father-in-law has known him for about 10 years = embarrassing memories to bring up in his speech!

Congratulations to Andy and Caroline!
