Kathryn and Russell married at Prestwold Church and Prestwold Hall in Leicestershire this weekend.

The day started in a lovely cottage not far from Prestwold where Kathryn, her family and her bridesmaids were getting ready.

Kathryn looked absolutely stunning in her Sassi Holford wedding gown.

A reassuring cuddle from dad.

Everyone ready and the only thing left to do is put on the veil!

Kathryn leaves the cottage and is thrilled to see blue skies and sunshine.

She travelled to Prestwold Church in style in a Daimler.

Dad helps Kathryn out of the car.

A short wait outside the church.

Then it was inside to meet Russell!

Kathryn and Russell’s guests came fully armed with heaps of confetti!

Hugs with friends.

Then it was a short walk to Prestwold Hall.

Kathryn and Russell were announced into dinner.

Kathryn’s dad was entertaining and embarrassed Russell during his speech

Then poor Russell and his mum were embarrassed during the best-men speech!

Kathryn and Russell requested extra time for portraits so we took them aside again after dinner for a few more photographs of just the two of them.

Even when they went off on their own we managed to capture some more photographs on our long lenses.

As darkness fell the swing band got going…

…not everyone was a fan of swing though!

Russell and Kathryn danced their first dance to “The Way You Look Tonight”.

Then the party got in full swing!

We sent out Philippa and Dan’s album this week.

They chose a large panoramic album with a curved binding and padded black leather cover.

Inside the pages were single charcoal mats with silver page corners.  The panoramic album allows for gorgeous panoramic prints like this shot of Philippa as she leaves her room after getting ready.

The bigger pages allow for bigger prints.

The rectangular format works really well for sequences of photographs.

Bolsover Castle is always an impressive sight on top of the hill in Bolsover, Derbyshire.

Part 2 of Abbi and Paul’s celebrations at Weston Park Bandstand this weekend!

Here is Abbi’s dad waiting for Abbi to appear and walk ‘down the aisle’ to the bandstand.

Abbi walked with both her mum and her dad.

Abbi’s parasol was fab and some of the children guests sat on the grass with a picnic blanket and their own parasol

Paul was waiting in the sunshine at the bandstand.

Then the formalities began.

Wedding rings were exchanged.

And then the best bit

They had one lovely reading.

On the steps of the Mappin Art Gallery, now part of the Weston Park Museum.

The bandstand has been renovated and looked wonderful in the sunshine.

Abbi and Paul had their reception at the Ranmoor Parish Centre and had their own beer to serve.  Their friends run The Brew Company and they had helped to make their own beer!  They pulled a pint for each guest – a twist on the old receiving line!

Speeches are always good fun

Abbi and Paul also had their own pub quiz with a tie-breaker question which involved drawing an illustration. Most teams just drew their answers on the answer sheet. This team decided to go one better and made a 3D model!

A friend then sang some comedy ukulele songs which were brilliantly entertaining!
