Well, here it is at last, the Purvis-Gisborne Photography blog; thanks for looking in! My name is Alison Purvis-Gisborne and I’m one half of Purvis-Gisborne Photography, the other half is my husband, Stephen and we photograph weddings across the UK.

If you haven’t come across a blog before you might be thinking “what’s a blog?” – well, blog is short for “web-log” and it’s a sort of online diary – but better… we decided that it was about time that we started blogging: we wanted a place for us to add some ramblings and maybe add the odd wedding photograph or two. We hope to be able to give our wedding clients a sneak look at a few of their images immediately following their wedding! As well as being able to keep our current clients up-to-date, we’d also like to be able to give potential clients sense of who we are and what we are about… so you might have to put up with the odd bit of waffle about cats, dogs, traveling and running! All will be revealed!

The wedding photography season is about to start as spring is on it’s way (yes spring is really on the way; well it is nearly March) and we will be adding more posts as we go through the year (we know it’s a bit sparse at the moment, but I guess that’s the nature of a blog, you have to start somewhere!).

2006 looks to be a great year for us and we’ll be traveling all over the UK again to all sorts of venues including Prestwold Hall, Loughborough, Leicestershire; Eastnor Castle, Ledbury, Herefordshire; Hassop Hall, Bakewell, Derbyshire; Priest House on the River, Castle Donington, Derbyshire; The New Hall, Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands; Hotel Du Vin, Birmingham, West Midlands; The Red House, Nether Broughton nr Melton Mowbray; Riber Hall, Matlock, Derbyshire; Whirlowbrook Hall, Sheffield, South Yorkshire; and another visit to the stunning Harlaxton Manor, Grantham, Lincolnshire – to name but a few!!
